How long does it take to get custom kitchen cabinets made and installed in Salt Lake City? ** ** Most custom kitchen cabinet projects take 4–12 weeks from design approval to completed installation. The timeline depends on the scope of the project, material selections, and finish details. We provide a clear timeline during the quoting process so there are no surprises. Do you handle the electric for lighted cabinets? ** ** We install integrated, electrician-ready light tracks inside your cabinets so the wiring is clean and concealed. We don’t do the electrical hookup ourselves. Your electrician (or one we recommend) handles that. The result is seamless, professional under-cabinet and in-cabinet lighting. Do you make cabinets with glass fronts? ** ** Yes. Glass-front cabinet doors are a popular option for display areas, china cabinets, and upper kitchen cabinetry. We offer clear, frosted, seeded, and textured glass options paired with the door style and finish of your choice. Do you offer cabinet refinishing or repair services? ** ** We don’t offer cabinet refinishing or repair services. Our focus is on high-quality, brand-new cabinet installations to ensure long-lasting results, modern design, and a perfect fit for your space. Do you offer cabinet refacing? ** ** Yes, we do offer cabinet refacing. If your cabinet boxes are in good condition, refacing can be a cost-effective way to refresh the look of your kitchen without a full replacement. Give us a call to speak with one of our designers and find out if cabinet refacing is the right option for your project. What's the difference between custom cabinets and semi-custom or RTA (Ready-to-Assemble) cabinets? ** ** Stock cabinets come in fixed sizes and limited finishes. Semi-custom offers some flexibility. Fully custom cabinets, what we build, are designed from scratch to fit your exact space, with your choice of wood species, door style, finish, hardware, and interior accessories. Nothing is pre-made or pulled off a shelf. Why choose custom cabinets? ** ** Custom cabinetry offers advantages that stock or semi-custom cabinets simply cannot match. Because every cabinet is built specifically for your home, the design can be tailored to your space, lifestyle, and storage needs. Custom cabinets allow homeowners to maximize every inch of available space. Instead of filler panels and unused gaps, cabinetry can be engineered to fit walls precisely, down to fractions of an inch. Custom cabinetry also offers far more design flexibility. Homeowners can choose unique door styles, wood species, finishes, interior storage solutions, and hardware that match the architecture of the home. At Woodcraft Mill & Cabinet, custom means truly custom, from materials to finishes to functional design details that make your kitchen and storage spaces work better every day. What are the benefits of custom cabinets versus stock options? ** ** The primary benefit is that custom cabinets are built to your exact specifications. Unlike stock cabinets, which have fixed sizes and limited styles, custom solutions offer complete design freedom, superior material quality, and a perfect fit for any space—no awkward gaps or fillers. This results in maximized storage, a truly integrated look, and lasting durability that adds significant value to your home. What does the custom kitchen design process at Woodcraft Mill & Cabinet involve? ** ** Our process is collaborative and client-focused. It begins with an in-depth consultation to understand your vision. We then create a detailed kitchen design, including 3D renderings, so you can see exactly how it will look. We’ll guide you through selecting materials, door styles, and finishes. Once you approve the final design, our in-house team begins crafting your cabinetry right here in our Utah mill. We're planning a kitchen remodel. How does your team fit into that process? ** ** We act as your specialized partner for the cabinetry phase of your kitchen remodel. Our role is to ensure your new cabinets are designed, built, and installed seamlessly within your project’s timeline. We coordinate with you and other tradespeople to make the process as smooth as possible, providing expertise from the initial design consultation all the way through to the final installation.
